Archive Template

Our theme uses the built-in WordPress Single Post Template mechanism to control the layout and appearance of individual blog posts. This allows you to customize how your posts are displayed using the WordPress Full Site Editing (FSE) Editor without having to modify the theme’s code.

There’re a few things that we’ll explain to you on this section :

  1. Category Template
  2. Other Templates
  3. Custom Template

1. Category Template

To change the category template, you can go to the Dashboard Editor and select the Templates menu. From there, select Category Archives to access the template used for your category pages.

Once you open the Category Archives template, you can customize its layout and content directly using the WordPress Editor. You can add, remove, or rearrange blocks and adjust the available settings according to your needs. After making the changes, make sure to save the template so the changes will be applied to your category archive pages.

2. Other Templates

WordPress provides an All Archives template as the default template for archive pages. This template acts as a general layout that can be used by different types of archives, such as category, tag, author, and date archives.

More specific archive templates can be created when a different layout is needed for a particular archive type, while the All Archives template remains the default template for other archive pages.

3. Custom Template

As mentioned previously, you can replace the default archive template for a specific archive type by creating a new template. This allows you to define a different layout and design for specific archives, such as Author Archives, Category Archives, or Date Archives

After creating or selecting an archive template, you can edit its content directly using the WordPress FSE Editor. The editor allows you to customize the layout and structure of the template using blocks. You can also use blocks specifically designed for archive pages, such as Archive Block, Archive Hero, and other archive-related blocks, to create a more flexible and customized archive layout.
