Unable to see changes to CSS for second-footer

I’m trying to update the background colour for the footer widget area (and leave the footer a different colour). However, when I update the style.css under Appearance > Editor, the changes don’t get saved.

I look at my page source and I still see this being written:

Am I missing something or is there an override that is not saving? I’ve disabled my cache plugins to verify that it isn’t caching issues. I’ve also tried viewing the site in incognito mode in chrome to ensure nothing is cached locally but I still don’t see the changes.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi there,

Sorry for delayed reply. We not recommend to update theme’s file directly on Appearance Editor, it could break your site when the code is broken and you can’t revert unless you have backup. For custom CSS, you could add it via Falive Dashboard > Advanced Settings > Custom CSS. But, if you want further customization you could use Child theme.

    Thank you
