Menus

Mars & Venus supports custom WordPress menus, with multiple levels of dropdown support. There are 2 menu locations of the theme where you can assign a menu, which is Primary Menu and Mobile Menu. Each of these menu locations can have a custom menu assigned. Once a menu is created and assigned to the location, it will show up on the site. Please see below for the menu locations and how to create a new menu.

Menu Locations

• Primary Menu – This is the Main Menu that shows in the Header area.
• Mobile Menu – This is the Menu that shows in the mobile version.

You can use the same Menu on both locations if you have same menu structure for both Desktop and Mobile version.

How to Create a new Menu:

To create a new custom menu, click the “create a new menu” link, give the menu a name, and click Create Menu button

• STEP 1 – Navigate to “Appearance” in your WordPress admin sidebar then click “Menus”.
• STEP 2 – Click the “create a new menu” link, give the menu a name, and click “Create Menu button”
• STEP 3 – To add a menu item, select one of your created pages on the left hand side and click the click “Add to Menu button”. You can also add posts, custom links, and categories to the menu.
• STEP 4 – You can drag and drop menu in order to manage it. To create a dropdown menu, simply drag a menu item below and slightly to the right of another menu item, and it will lock into place and create a dropdown section.
• STEP 5 – After setting up your menu, scroll down to the bottom of the page to assign the menu to one of the menu locations in the “Theme Locations”.
• STEP 4 – Don’t forget to click “Save Menu”
