    Hi

Is there a way to customise this particular element to display my custom short link? I have installed the official bit.ly plugin which adds a similar bar to the foot of each post but I’d rather get rid of this and make the one included in the theme my custom link.

    Thanks in advance
    Adam

hi Adam, on our demo we are using this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/googl/
its work perfectly, and change default wordpress shortener url to Goo.gl.
i don’t know if bitly also have their own wordpress plugin, but those google plugin may catch your interest.

    Thank you

    Thanks for the info

So by that token, there must be a way to force WordPress to use the Bit.ly link? I have installed the official bit.ly plugin and if you visit this page you will see the issue:

    http://filmfestinternational.com/official-selection-laurel-2015/

You see the link the website generates displayed in your share bar and below the content, above the author box, you will see the Bit.ly link. There are no options in the plugin to use it as default so would you know the code and where I need to go to change it to make it use Bit.ly?

You will see I have a custom short URL so I’m keen to use Bit.ly as it’s all set up through that and provides nice analytics.
