Portfolio Categories doesn't work

I checked a portfolio item into Two Categories, but how do I make the item appear in those categories. The portfolio list template on a page doesn’t let you choose the portfolio categories to display on that page. Some items need to appear in multiple categories? Together with the Portfolio tags missing, how is my client ever going to categorise his work? If the theme cannot do these basic portfolio functions, how do I get a Themeforest refund.

hi brandbrilliance, our themes is kind of different. we use page as parent (you can read it category on other themes), and the category it self as tag if you compare this themes with another themes.

let me explain why we create something different like that. from our previous themes, we have same structure like what you said. but its not very good approach we think. firstly, with this approach you can easily create beautiful URL like : http://yourwebsite.com/your-portfoio-parent/your-portfolio-name
or on real work would seems like this : http://yourwebsite.com/videos/adam-eve-video

but if you are using older approach, you won’t be able to create those kind of URL. its better for SEO we think.

second, you can easily navigate to next portfolio & previous portfolio within parent category. you won’t be able to do that with category filter approach. because everything is messed up into one single portfolio category.

but if you still need to have refund, you can contact envato support. they may able to help you to do refund.

    Thank you
