Popular Post settings

I’ve been all ’round the site and it may be right in front of me, but I want to have the popular posts look like those in this demo iteration of sukawati:

    Where/how do I set this?

Also, I did a little pipe hack in child theme templates for the titles so my client could add one where she wanted her titles to break in one view, but elsewhere, the pipe would be stripped out and show the title without the pipe. I’ve replaced <?php the_title(); ?> with <?php echo str_replace(‘ | ‘, ‘ ‘, get_the_title()); ?>, but I’m unsure with popular posts, since it seems to call {title} where or how I would change this.

Appreciate any pointers on where to go with all of this!

    Hi lisaeve5,

Make sure install WordPress Popular Posts plugin which of required plugin. You could find the option from Homepage template > Popular Posts Options.

For the title hack, you could modify file located at: sukawati/include/popularposts.php and since we use WPP plugin for that, you most likely need customize the plugin as well. Please learn more here:

    Thank you

Thank you for your response and it makes sense. We do have WP Popular Posts plugin installed. And I will research the plugin customization at github – thanks!

However, I’m wondering if there’s something missing in our install because I can’t locate Homepage template > Popular Posts Options anywhere. I don’t see it in Sukawati settings or in Customize under Appearance. I’ve looked and looked and looked. (I recently took over this project from another person).

I can send screen captures of what I see, if that would help….

We got this sorted by doing as suggested: disabling plugins and reenabling. All good now! Thanks!
