Portfolio create permission
Post count: 1LostariJanuary 17, 2016 at 3:46 pm #17764
When I try to add a portfolio item there is an error message on top of the page:
object from empty value in /[server path installation]/wp-admin/includes/post.php on line 632
and I can not create the item, this is the response of worpress (both with administrator and editor):
“You do not have permission to edit this article.”
I have a fresh installation of wordpress 4.1.1 and the only plugin active (excluding those of theme) is https://it.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode/Post count: 2759JegbagusJanuary 18, 2016 at 1:56 am #17772
hi Lostari, can you contact me directly to my profile page?
i will need direct access to your ftp because i cannot check it on themes level, but its WordPress core level i think.
also because i don’t have this kind of issues, it hard to me to tell you what the problem is.
Thank youPost count: 2759JegbagusJanuary 18, 2016 at 2:08 am #17773
also, can you check your database remaining space? i try to trace this issues and i notice its nothing to do with the themes it self.
if i tell you about more detail, the problem must because this line :12$post_id = wp_insert_post( array( 'post_title' => __( 'Auto Draft' ), 'post_type' => $post_type, 'post_status' => 'auto-draft' ) );$post = get_post( $post_id );
and you can see, WP is trying to insert draft page to database. and its unable to do it for some reason.
but i you already check your database, and you still having the problem, then i will need to access your FTP to investigate cause of this issues.
Thank youPost count: 3angelanicoleJanuary 19, 2016 at 4:23 am #17796
I am having the same issue on a fresh install.
I have checked space and it is all fine. See below. I have also changed to the default theme and I do not see this issue.

Thank youPost count: 3angelanicoleJanuary 20, 2016 at 2:07 am #17835
Thanks Lostari that fixed my issue but now I have to remove a whole bunch of garbage data lolPost count: 3angelanicoleJanuary 20, 2016 at 2:08 am #17836
It would seem that we do not have perms to the database until hte data is imported, I am not sure what the script does as it is run as my local user but it changes something. I would be more than happy to send you a dump before and after I did not investigate the changes made by the script just simply did the import and started with the new content.Post count: 2759JegbagusJanuary 20, 2016 at 3:04 am #17844
