    Hi there,

I’d like to change the colour of the default buttons and default widget boxes in JKreativ from teal to grey or black but I can’t find how to do this, and I’m not sure what attritube to use to change this in the Additional Style section.

I’d like all the buttons (as shown below) to be black, instead of teal:

I’d like all the heading sections of the default widget boxes (as shown below) to be grey:

    How do I do this?

    Thanks,

    E

Jkreativ default Widget Headings colour: https://ibb.co/iTjioH
Main navigation link hover colour: https://ibb.co/kJnaJH

    Hi there,

    Finding some more issues:

The search icon appears in the Customizer window but not on the website itself:

    Website: https://ibb.co/ewJJsc
    Customizer: https://ibb.co/gAsBCc

How do I make the icon appear across the website?

Also, the top navigation bar is changing to a transparent black background with white text when not on the homepage – I want this to be a white background with black text throughout the website, how do I change this?

    https://ibb.co/hxwGdH

So, in total I’d like to know how to edit the following:

    – Jkreativ default Buttons colour: https://ibb.co/ff6JNc
    – Jkreativ default Widget Headings colour: https://ibb.co/iTjioH
    – Main navigation link hover colour: https://ibb.co/kJnaJH
    – Main navigation background and text colour when not on homepage: https://ibb.co/hxwGdH
    – Make the search icon appear on the website and not just in the customizer window: (1. Website: https://ibb.co/ewJJsc 2. Customizer: https://ibb.co/gAsBCc )

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you again,

    E

    Hi Adek,

I solved a lot of my previous problems by inputting the following code into the JKreativ Additional Style to edit button color:

I also managed to edit the default widget heading color with the following code in JKreativ Additional Style:

I also added the following code into the WPBakery Page Builder Custom CSS section to change the button colors in Post Grids:

However, I can’t find how to edit the hover color for this button – it is still “juicy-pink” when I hover but I want it to be grey.

I am also still having the following issues:

    – The footer only appears on the home/landing page, but I want it to appear at the footer of all pages and posts. How do I do this?

    – The link hover color of the top, main navigation menu: https://ibb.co/kJnaJH
    – – This keeps coming up as blue, but I have not set the color to be blue anywhere. How do I change this?

    – Main navigation background and text colour when not on homepage: https://ibb.co/hxwGdH
    – – All other pages set to a transparent black background colour for the main navigation bar: http://spca.perrito.ca/about-us/ – I would like the bar to be white throughout the site, or have the option to edit this if necessary.

    – Make the search icon appear on the website and not just in the customizer window: (1. Website: https://ibb.co/ewJJsc 2. Customizer: https://ibb.co/gAsBCc )
    – – When editing the website in the “Customizer” panel, the search icon appears, however, it is not showing on the main page on a desktop or mobile when not viewing in the customizer panel: http://spca.perrito.ca/

I look forward to your reply.

    Thanks in advance,

    E

    Hi ingenuitygroup,

Glad to hear if you be able to resolve several problems in there.

Also, i’ve been checking the URL that you provide on above, but it seems i still can’t access your website because that URL does not point me to your website. It seems your website still in maintenance mode. Can you please check it?

    Thank you

    Hi Adek,

Yes, the site is not yet active. I can, however, grant you admin access to the website in order to address the issues I listed above?

Let me know if this would work.

    Thank you,

    E

    Hi Adek,

I am still having the following issues:

    – The footer only appears on the home/landing page, but I want it to appear at the footer of all pages and posts. How do I do this?

    – Font size and the link hover color of the top, main navigation menu: https://ibb.co/kJnaJH
    – – This keeps coming up as blue. I was able to change the code in the “inspect element” section on Chrome with the following code, but this did not work when I tried it in either the Jkreativ Additional Style or Additional CSS:

    – The search icon does not appear on the website, it only appears in the customizer window.
    – – When editing the website in the “Customizer” panel, the search icon appears, however, it is not showing on the main page on a desktop or mobile when not viewing in the customizer panel. Website: https://ibb.co/ewJJsc and Customizer panel: https://ibb.co/gAsBCc

I would really appreciate your help with these items.

    Thank you,

    E

    Hi ingenuitygroup,

    1. Unfortunately at the moment we don’t provide footer for all page template. We only provide the footer only on Landing Page template and Portfolio Item with Extended layout.

You can try to visit this topic http://support.jegtheme.com/forums/topic/blog-post-order-in-masonry/page/2/ about adding landing footer element.

    2. You can try to use this CSS code below and adjust the value:

    3. You can try to use this CSS code below:

    Hi Adek,

    Thank you for your help.

Now I am trying to create a child theme so that my changes are not lost when the theme is updated. I have found the basic files and the Jkreativ child theme, but I’ve found that the existing child theme’s style.css file uses the “@import” command (see below); however, I have noticed that this is no longer recommended due to lag time for loading websites.

    @import url("../jkreativ-themes/style.css");

    My questions are as follows:

    1. Can you tell me what I need to enter into the functions.php file in the child theme so that the changes I made to the files will not be erased when the parent theme is updated?

    – The following file names are the ones that have been edited that I would like to add to the child theme so they remain the same:
    – – wp-content/themes/jkreativ-themes/public/css/boxed.css
    – – wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.min.css
    – – wp-content/plugins/mega_main_menu/src/css/cache.skin.css
    – – wp-content/themes/jkreativ-themes/public/js/internalmin/main.js

    – I have added an enqueue function to the functions.php file in the child theme that looks like the code below. Is this okay or should any part/all of the code be changed, and if so, what should it be changed to?

    2. Do I need to add the .php files I edited to the functions.php file, or can they just be included in the main child theme folder?

    – If they cannot be included in the main file, but can be included as they are (without adding anything to the functions.php or style.css files), then what folder in the main child theme folder should they be added to?

    – The following .php files are the ones I edited:

    wp-content/themes/jkreativ-themes/template/
    template-page-cover.php
    template-blog-masonry.php
    template-page-normal.php

    wp-content/themes/jkreativ-themes/template/additional
    masonry-layout.php

    wp-content/themes/jkreativ-themes/template/blogpost
    single-normal-layout.php
    single-extra-layout.php

    3. Will the custom code I entered in the “Additional CSS” section of the website be saved when the theme is updated?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I really appreciate all your help so far!

    Thank you and kind regards,

    E

    Hi ingenuitygroup,

    1. In this case, for certain file, you can move your changes into child theme such as js code. In this case, for css code you can put your style into style.css. For php code, you can put them on the functions.php file and for the js code, it seems you need to create a custom file. You can check this article for a hint https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/a/177160/124442 (adding custom js file into child theme)

Please put this code below to the functions.php file:

    2. You can use the existing functions.php file on the child theme and put your custom code on that file.

But, for the modified file like template-page-cover.php, template-blog-masonry.php and etc, you need to put them on the child theme and use the same structure directory as the parent theme. For example, if on the parent theme like this wp-content/themes/jkreativ-themes/template/template-page-cover.php then on the child theme should like this wp-content/themes/jkreativ-child/template/template-page-cover.php

    3. It will stay there even you doing theme update. But you also can put them on the child theme.

Let me know if you have further question.

Also, we have custom change service. If you interest you can contact us here http://support.jegtheme.com/custom-change-service/

    Thank you

    Hi Adek,

Thank you for your very quick reply, it is much appreciated.

I am not sure I understand fully; however, could you clarify the following?

    1. Should I move all of the code from boxed.css, js_composer.min.css, cache.skin.css, and the parent style.css files into the new, child theme style.css file?

    1. (a) OR, should this be included in the functions.php code as follows?

1.(b) If the code in 1.(a) is correct (above), should the .css files mentioned be within the same folder structure as the original file?

    e.g. wp-content/themes/jkreativ-themes/public/css/boxed.css becomes wp-content/themes/jkreativ-child/public/css/boxed.css

1.(c) As some of the .css files are from plugins, would I have to change the code in the functions.php file? Is the code below correct?

    2. From the forum link you provided, it seems that I should include the javascript as follows, but is this correct?

    3. Can I just copy the code from the JKreativ Additional CSS and the WP Bakery Additional CSS into the child theme style.css file?

The additional CSS in WP Bakery is as follows:

The additional style in JKreativ is as follows:

Any help would again be greatly appreciated.

Thank you again and kind regards,

    E
