    Hi,

I’ve recently migrated my site to use the Tech theme and I have a couple of issues:

    1. There’s no ability to edit <h1>, <h2>, <h3> etc font settings individually? How do I edit them? Given my site was based around these setting before, I’m finding this really frustrating.

    2. The overlay that comes up over the top of some hero images (a blue to green fade) – how do I change this? Seems very strange you would add this and not allow it to be modified, given it won’t fit with a lot of peoples colour schemes (mine included)

    Would appreciate any help.

    Thanks

    Kev

    Hi Kev,

    1. To change the general font setting you can setup it on the Customize > JNews: Font Option > Global Font. Also, we have been including Yellow Pencil plugin into JNews theme package that you can use for adding custom style (frontend style editor). With this plugin, you can easily add custom style to each element for global or for certain page/post only.

    2. We’ve provide an option to control the overlay color for the hero module element. But it’s a new feature and it will available on next version of JNews. Can you tell me which hero type that you want to change the overlay color? I will give your custom CSS code for a temporary solution.

    Thank you

    HI,

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

    1. Great, I’ll try this

    2. OK great, I’m using JNews Slider 2 on the homepage, then for posts I’m using template 6 which also has the overlay.

    Thanks!

    Kev

    Hi Kev,

You can add this CSS code below to the Customize > Additional Style:

You just need to adjust the color value with your own need.

    Thank you

    Worked perfectly, thanks!

One final question – how do I remove the background color from the post subtitle text? At the moment it has a white box around it by default, and I’d like to change the color.

    Thanks

    Kev

And sorry one more thing. I have a couple of sub menu items that work fine on desktop, but when it switches to mobile they get labeled as #4464 (no title) and similar.

    Any ideas?

One more thing. I’ve tried adding a container background color to the site. However when I do, it becomes clear that the content area defined by the container and the actual content area don’t match – the content area sticks out. See images here for example:

Any idea why this is happening?

    Thanks

    Hi kevward121,

1 & 2. For the background text color and submenu item, i think the easiest way is using Yellow Pencil style editor. It will help you much when adding custom style.

    3. Can you please provide me the page URL for further checking? So i can check it directly on my side.

    Thank you

    Hi,

    1. The problem with using the pencil on the subtitle is its leaves two white “blocks” at either end – see here: https://ibb.co/huRtQd. With the menu items – the problem isn’t style related, it’s that the page name is being pulled through to the mobile menu for some pages. Here is the example: https://ibb.co/jXTJrJ

    2. Sure, here is a page where it is happening: http://www.theassay.com/granada-gold-mine/

    Thanks

    Kev

    Hi Kev,

    1. For changing the background color of the post title, do you want to change only the background color of the post title? If yes, you can use this CSS code below:

    2. For the submenu problem on the mobile menu, i’m not quite sure what’s the problem in there. Did you use the same menu for the main menu and mobile menu in there?

    3. For the container background, do you want to change the background color of the content? or the outer content?

Please try to remove your previous CSS code and you can use this code below to change the content background color.

    Thank you

    Hi,

    1. This changes both title and subtitle – I would like to change only subtitle.

    2. It uses exactly the same menu. Only thing I can think is the text is too long for mobile?

    3. It’s the outer content I would like to change, so the page background essentially.

    Thanks

    Kev

    Hi Kev,

    1. You can try to use this code below:

    2. I think that’s not the problem because the third submenu item just works fine. Also, i just try to replicate your menu and it works fine (https://www.dropbox.com/s/h68wr41q8aj6toy/Screenshot%202018-05-21%2010.06.09.png?dl=0).

    3. You can try to use this code below:

    Thank you
