Actually, the cache data for the social counter will automatically be updated on 24 hours by default. Hi danskinner,

For the Instagram, it seems they have been updating their share data structure. Please try to replace the content of this file wp-content/themes/jnews/class/Widget/Normal/Element/SocialCounterWidget.php with this one here https://pastebin.com/gTBUbDi.

For the time update of data cache, it may your sever failed to fetch the new data and they keep using the old data and update the expired time of data cache.
