Jkreativ Child Theme
Post count: 44diramosJune 25, 2014 at 9:43 pm #683
By placing the child theme in the themes folder I get this message:
Jkreativ Child Theme The parent theme is missing. Install the theme father “Jkreativ.”
I tried both locally and on the server, the message is the same in both the cases cited.

I have previously reported this issue to the developer.
The error is because in the Child Theme’s style.css it is looking for it’s Parent Theme (Template) named “jkreativ” folder, but when the Parent Theme is installed it installs in a folder named “jkreative-themes.
The easiest way to fix the issue is to edit the Child Theme’s style.css file and change the line ‘Template: jkreativ’ to ‘Template: jkreativ-themes’
I assume that the developer will correct this issue in the next update.

hi diramos, you can use this file instead : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31421656/jkreativ/jkreativ-child.zip
you will need child themes only if you want to change the code on themes.
if you don’t need it, you won’t need to care about it.
Thank youPost count: 44diramosJune 26, 2014 at 10:40 am #733
