Font problem in IE
Post count: 18fco100December 6, 2018 at 10:53 pm #40443
The font of the jnews theme in Chrome is OK.
However, font problems occurred in IE.
I applied it in the Jnews theme font configuration, but the font was not applied in IE.
I want the Korean(Hangul) fonts to look the same in IE, as shown in Chrome. Please tell me how to fix it.
P.S. The file size of Korean font is very large. Uploading and applying files to a web server will slow down your web site. I want to apply Noto sans KR font using Google web font.Post count: 1127FerdyDecember 7, 2018 at 10:40 am #40461

It seems there’s a problem with the ie when rendering that font. I think this related to the browser issue especially for ie. Previously i check this thread https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/noto-font/QYLXmUi7aq8. At the moment i don’t have a good solution for this issue yet.

Thank you for answer.
I bought a variety of themes from themeforest and there was no problem when I applied Korean fonts.
Wordpress basic themes did not have this problem either.
However, the Jnews theme has difficulties in applying Asian fonts (Chinese, Japanese, Korean).
Of course, I know there are some basic problems with IE.
However, many Korean WordPress web sites use the same fonts in Chrome, Firefox, and IE.
I applied a variety of font plugins to solve this problem, but it did not work with the Jnews theme.
I want to ask.
I would like to add Google web font Korean in font list in Jnews> Customize style> font option> Global font
* Google web font
To solve this problem, I did a search.
I hope that the links below will help you solve the problem.
If you support the CJK Font, I expect more buyers to buy the Jnews theme.
Because there are many internet news CMS consumers in Korea.
I hope to solve this problem.
Thank you in advance.

I’ve checked your site with both Chrome and IE11 on Windows 10 machine, and I can’t replicate the issue like you showing on the screenshot above. On my side, the font seems to look the same on both browsers. Please take a look at my screenshot below:
Did you already manage to solve the problem?

May I know what Windows version do you use? Hopefully, we could replicate the issue on our side with the same environment.
Please also try to clear your browser cache.
