Hi, I’m trying to redo my cover image (parallax) at kathireuter.com.

However, when I scale it smaller it doesn’t fit, and on a BIG monitor (like my main 2560×1440) it’s too big and doens’t fit right either. It looks good n a 720p or 1080p monitor.

is there a way to get the image to scale automatically with the responsive design?

    Hi nreuter,

Yeah sure, because at the moment it will depend on your parallax setup in there. Please try to use Parallax Cover Background option.

    Thank you

Hmm OK, looks like it’s just still too wide even at the scaled setting. Is there a “safe zone” pixel size for the image or specs for the cover image?

    Hi nreuter,

What you mean with “safe zone” that you mean on above? Do you want to have different image dimension for certain screen resolution?

    Thank you

I’m not sure. It looks fine on 1920 x 1080 and 720p screens.

On my 2560×1440 monitor it gets cutoff. See pic.

Here is when I scale it small. It’s too wide to fit in I guess.

What are the ideal dimensions of the parralalx image?

    Hi nreuter,

Actually for certain screen resolution will need to use certain image dimension and i think this is hard work to do. Anyway, please try to use this code below and put them on the Additional Style :

    Thank you

Thanks, that made it look better on a 2560 monitor but it didn’t look right on a smaller screen.

Is there an ideal size for the cover photo?

I don’t know if it’s a huge deal – I just was hoping it would look good on all screen sizes.

    Hi nreuter,

Yeah, don’t worry with that. Can you tell me more specific the screen size that you want to make a changes?

    Thank you
