Cannot register new user via my account

    Hi guys,

    I guess I found a bug / issue in your theme. When I attempt to register a new user using the my account page, nothing happens. It just rejiggers, and goes to login form, from which you can’t then login using the info you’ve just created. In summary, it doesn’t work..

    If a customer goes thru our store, and orders something.. an account is created automagically and this works fine. The issue thought is more urgent since we use an auctions, and customers need to register in order to bid on them.. Without an account, this part of site cannot function.. or they need to purchase something else in advance, but thats not a solution..

    I’ve done some testing / troubleshooting my self:

    – Turning create account password for new user has on/off no effect

    – Turning off all extra plugins has no effect

    – Switching to twentyten theme, it works or any other for that matter

    – Different host, no effect.. same issue

    Quick term fix would be to disable the standard jkreativ woo commerce template pages for my account, but this isn’t the prettiest solution.

    I’ve noticed several other users mentions a similar issue isn 2015 and feb 2016, so.. I really hope there is fix now, or if not, that you can fix it!

    Hi Betaalbarekunst,

    May i know what the current version of theme and wordpress that you use in there? I just want to make sure on this thing.

    It would be better if you can help me to provide login credentials into your wp admin panel so i can check it directly what actually happen in there. You can send it here and check the Set as private reply option below.

    Hi Adek,

    We are currently running WordPress version 4.4.2 and Jkreative theme 2.3.7. We prefer to be bit behind with WordPress version to maintain compatibility with your specialized Managed wordpress hosting. So upgrading to 4.5.x is hold for now..

    Hi Betaalbarekunst,

    I’ve been check your site previously. Please try to revert into using parent theme instead of child theme. I will need to check several things in there.

    May i know why you disable several input field on the register template? Also can you tell me what kind of changes that you’ve been made before on the parent theme? I just want to make sure on this thing.

    Hi Adek,

    I forgot reenable these fields after testing to see where the issue was. If i disable all of the parents theme’s my account templates, it works fine. I also has one field to create a new account, and you do not need to create a separate password. I made 95% of my changes in the child theme, nothing significant such as this.. and I’ve got languages files set for dutch in the parent theme..

    I’ve moved the installation over to a staging site. This way, we can go ahead with going live, and you can get along with testing where the issue is..

    Thanks for your reply, the thing is.. it still doesn’t work. Did you actually test it? I just put the original jkreative-themes template back for and it still doesn’t work. I had to put this hack in, order for our site to go live yesterday..

    What you saw there was my little template modification, a combination of the original woo templates fused with your own. This is how i solved it on our site, till we find a proper solution.

    Can you have another look at it please? I prefer to use your (Jkreative’s) own templates, instead of something I put together myself.

    This is the staging site, you have full access and ftp details mentioned earlier in the thread.

    When you go to http://betaalbarekunst.rodeboei.eu/mijn-account/ you’ll find the original parent theme and template running..

    I understand you guys are sometimes short on time, and busy, thats why I gave you full access, so you can test to your content yourself.. but please. use this http://betaalbarekunst.rodeboei.eu/. This in theory, should prevent these messages, and having to wait for replies.
