How to Install WordPress

This is a short walkthrough of the WordPress installation process. This section is useful if this is your first time installing WordPress. Before starting, you must have a server that supports PHP and allows access to the MySQL databases.

Download WordPress

If you don’t have WordPress, you can download it from http://wordpress.org/download/

After downloading WordPress, extract the file. You will see now see a folder named wordpress. Upload all files from that folder to your hosting server. You will need FTP credentials and an FTP Client (like FileZilla) to upload WordPress. Contact your hosting for your site FTP credentials. If you don’t have ftp client, you can download it here.

Wordpress Requirement

Before you buy a server hosting plan, you need to make sure that your hosting company is able to host WordPress. We recommended you check which PHP & MySQL versions the host offers. Choosing a host with up to date versions will ensure your site will operate correctly, load faster, and most of all, you will have less chances of running into conflicts and problems.

Once the uploading process is finished, please now try to access your website URL from your browser. WordPress should ask you which language you will use for your site.
